Panasonic Energy Europe Customer Cockpit built
with Ometa Solutions
Panasonic
Energy Europe is the world’s largest battery manufacturer. Its headquarters are
based in Brussels and its extensive sales force sells consumer batteries in
over 30 European countries. The Panasonic Enery Europe sales team continuously
had to search through different systems and folders in order to collect
customer data: the ERP database, folders with open orders and invoices,
unstructured data in mailboxes, … Not very efficient. Moreover, Ometa was asked
to come up with a solution that didn’t involve a lengthy development route.
SharePoint and
SAP were both used extensively within the company walls. SharePoint’s user
friendliness made it the preferred platform for the sought after solution. So
Ometa created a customer cockpit in SharePoint where information can be
harvested from all the different data sources. No changes to the back office
systems, no learning curve, no long and expensive development stage.

Part of the Sales Force now already
has access to all customer related information through the cockpit. Without
having to perform a complex search operation.
Moreover, sales representatives can
now be sure they’ve got all the relevant data.
